Role Overview
As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom Shopify stores that are visually engaging, user-friendly, and optimized for conversions. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to bring our clients’ e-commerce visions to life.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes and templates (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Implement new features, sections, and integrations to enhance store functionality.
Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX wireframes into responsive, high-quality Shopify storefronts.
Optimise site performance for speed, SEO, and mobile usability.
Configure Shopify apps and third-party integrations to extend functionality.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues on live stores.
Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, best practices, and e-commerce trends.
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
Experience customizing Shopify themes and building from scratch.
Familiarity with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations.
Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
Knowledge of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with Shopify Plus.
Knowledge of additional frameworks or CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, headless e-commerce).
Familiarity with tools like Git, Figma, or Adobe XD.
